Meet the Family
Kerr Lake Retrievers is a family owned business that focuses on breeding the highest quality Labrador Retrievers that will excel both at home and in the field. We strive to breed dogs that will make not only the most loving family companions, but can perform in the field as well. We select our females and males carefully by combining bloodlines that will give loving family companions and be a dynamic hunting partner. From the time our pups arrive they are socialized and handled by our family, which includes 3 young kids, before going to their forever homes.
I have loved hunting and being outdoors from the time I was young and always dreamed of owning my own business that embodies the things I am most passionate about in life. I have combined my love for hunting and outdoors with my love for raising and training retrievers.

The Moseley Family
Chris and Juli met in high school and both were born and raised in Southside Virginia. Juli grew up on Kerr Lake and Chris grew up on a farm with plenty of land to hunt and be outdoors. Their first baby when they got married was a black lab named Drake and they have continued to love on labs since. They settled down and built a life on Kerr Lake and have grown their family with both kids and labs! Now it's time to share their love for labs with other families!
Chris Moseley
From the time I was young, I have enjoyed all types of hunting and being outdoors. I have grown to love the process of raising and training labs. It is rewarding to see them learn and apply those skills in the field. I also enjoy pairing families with the right pup for their lifestyle, whether it is as an active hunter or laid back family companion-or maybe both.
Juli Moseley
Life is busy but I wouldn't change a thing! Three young kids, a full time job, and three fur babies makes for a hectic household. I love watching Chris do what he loves with our kiddos. These fur babies become such a special part of our family and I enjoy letting them sleep at the foot of the bed :)
Kensleigh Rae
I am 8 years old and my favorite part of having dogs is playing with them and helping my Daddy water them, feed them, and take care of them! I enjoy going on hunt tests with Daddy because I love when we earn ribbons for our puppies and I get excited when they do well! It makes me sad when we have to send puppies to their forever home but I also get excited for them to meet their new family.
Addie Kate
I am 6 years old and my favorite part of having puppies is snuggling with them, hugging them, and running around with them. The girl puppies are my favorite ones because they are the sweetest. I really like when Daddy trains our dogs in the yard and I get to help throw decoys and bumps for them!
Callan
I am 2 and I can't wait to get older so I can train puppies and hunt with Daddy. Right now I really enjoy chasing the puppies around the house and pulling on their tails. I pat their belly and lay on them so they know they are loved.
